film title focus group

My focus group was made up of 10 students from my college who are all familiar with the conventions of thriller movies. The focus group took place during one of my media lessons and during the focus group I gave each of the group a sheet with the titles and why they would be appropriate.

The results of my focus group are as follows:

REVENGE - 4

A FATHER'S VENGEANCE - 5

DEAD MAN WALKING - 2

OUTSIDE THE LAW - 9

VIGILANTE - 6

THE SALT PATH - 1

DEEP IN THE SHADOWS - 8

PUNISHMENT - 3

RETRIBUTION - 6

SOLITARY - 1

It was a close decision between OUTSIDE THE LAW and DEEP IN THE SHADOWS which my focus group thought was more mysterious than some of the other titles but still gave a hint about the film's storyline.
